Amazon Teaching Project
Based in the Amazon jungle of Ecuador the Arajuno Road Project offers volunteers the opportunity to work and teach in schools, providing a structured curriculum for the children, and long-term benefits to communities of the Arajuno Road.
Volunteering
The role of the volunteers within the project is crucial to its success. Funding and equipment cannot be properly utilised without people to manage them.
Location
Set amongst stunning scenery the Arajuno road weaves its way through the outer Amazon, frequently offering clifftop views over the miles and miles of virtually untouched rainforest.

Finally... we have buses running past the volunteer house, saves us the walk up the hill, no morning 1 but 1 to bring us back from school

We have had a week of glorious sunshine, making it truly feel like summer (yep even on the equator).

Kites are in fashion in the jungle at the moment. Surely we'll be able to have a better attempt than the last time we tried to made kites.

Summer school is into its 2nd week, and everyone is getting very creative. Lots of activities, games and crafts.
